Role Description:
|
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the team.
Key functions include:
- Managing direct staff
- Overseeing the maintenance of ledgers and cash books
- Credit management
- Overseeing purchase ledger processing and payment runs
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Assistance with payroll and P11D matters
- Monthly Management Accounts
- Monitoring and reporting of cash flow
- Minimising working capital
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Develop financial monitoring procedures
- Suggesting improvements to controls and processes
- Preparation of ad-hoc financial reports and analysis
- Managing external relationships such as auditors, insurers, bankers,

Experience &
Skills Required:
|
- You will be an experienced hands-on accountant
- You wil have worked at FC level
- Good understanding of cost accounting and yield/variance analysis
- Will have worked in an SME manufacturing or processing environment.
- Food sector experience would be a plus
- Good knowledge of Sage accounting
- Strong IT skills
