One of my private equity clients is looking for a solid UK qualified FD (who will receive an equity stake) for their offshore wind tower manufacturing company based in North Yorkshire.
This is a company that has in the past managed large oil and gas contracts (manufacturing for large offshore constructions - £300m+). This will however be a new PE backed venture targeting the renewables space. Expected first year turnover £20-30m, but with a base case plan rising to c. £100m in the next few years.
The company is a North Yorkshire based manufacturer of steel pylons / towers, traditionally providing them to offshore oil and gas companies, but now targeting offshore wind farms. Essentially, the bank metal into one of two standard towers (closed and lattice), atop which wind turbines are attached. They don't do the attachments, and are only responsible for the manufacturing of the towers themselves.
